what do you mean when you say this vermont town needs to back off? and when you say that its not up to them? are they not part of america? do the people not choose the president? if they vote to impeach bush its their vote and nobody can tell them otherwise.

I live in Vermont and hate Hippeis. Chittenden County is the promblem with citeis like burlington. Brattelboro is pretty bad though. They voted that if Bush or Cheney ever come to brattleboro they will be arrested for war crimes, even though they have no legal basis

I agree, we need to diverge from the status quo, however cliche that sounds. Bringing new parties into the system is a great way to do that!
This is just the opposite from “fascism” this is real Democracy. They are upholding the checks and balances that make for good governance. Perhaps you should look-up the definition of Fascism and you might find it applies to the “neocons” push for WAR. Also the funding of private Military companies such as Blackwater.

What would work better is to also vote for somebody you like the most during the Primaries! Assuming you’re more left-wing, find somebody that’s GREENPARTY-ish during the primaries and VOTE n SUPPORT HIM BIG TIME! I like 3rd parties but I don’t want to give up on the DEMOCRATS! When people vote for the one they want and not the one they think is going to win! I voted for Kucinich and my sister voted for RON PAUL!
There’s so many reasons! One reason that bothers me the most is War Profiteering! If you look at the money Bush n his cronies made on this war, you will go CRAZY!! If Bill Clinton made money off a war like Somalia or Kosovo, Republicans would have impeached AND removed him from office! However, they impeached him because he cheated on his wife and LIED to make sure nobody found out, something disgusting BUT no lives were lost!
